To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download When your spouse has diabetes It is an extremely hopeless feeling when your spouse has a severe case of diabetes and you see the severe symptoms manifesting themselves and you can’t do anything about it. The belief that the healing will bring everything back is what you hope for but the reality is that the disease is degenerative and the body won’t be the same anymore. I have seen a vibrant, energetic, full-of-life spouse start to lose her interest in life because of this horrible disease. The spouse can’t drive anymore; can’t dance anymore; can’t cook anymore; can’t visit friends anymore; can’t dress up anymore; can’t do the normal things anymore. It is so frustrating. Yet the only thing a person can do is just accept the condition and try to make the most of what you have left. It is emotional draining to see this impact on your spouse and you are helpless to alleviate the problem Comments
